08:30 – Pick-up from Antananarivo: Departure from your hotel in Antananarivo and drive north towards the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, passing through the landscapes and traditional villages of the Malagasy Highlands.

09:30 – Arrival at Ambohimanga : Begin your guided visit of this historic royal site, learning about the history of the Merina Kingdom and the role of Ambohimanga in the formation of Madagascar.

09:45 – Royal City and Rova: Explore the fortified royal enclosure and its traditional royal buildings, including the former royal residences and ceremonial areas.

10:30 – Sacred Sites and Royal Tombs : Continue to the royal tombs, sacred trees, fountains and other places associated with traditional Malagasy beliefs and royal ceremonies. The site remains an important spiritual and pilgrimage destination.
