08:00 – Pick-up from your hotel: Meet your guide and driver at your hotel in Antsirabe and begin the day with a short city tour.
08:15 – Antsirabe city tour: Discover the main highlights of Antsirabe, including the historic streets, Independence Avenue, the cathedral, and the old railway station. You can also experience the city by traditional pousse-pousse, one of Antsirabe’s characteristic forms of transport.
09:30 – Local craft workshops: Visit some of Antsirabe’s small artisan workshops and discover local craftsmanship, including zebu-horn products, miniature bicycles, embroidery, and other handmade items.
10:30 – Drive towards Lake Tritriva: Leave the city and travel through the beautiful highland countryside, passing villages, rice fields, and agricultural landscapes.
11:15 – Lake Tritriva: Arrive at the sacred volcanic crater lake. Take a walk along the crater rim, enjoy the panoramic views, and learn about the history and local legend associated with the lake. The site is considered sacred, so local customs and fady should be respected.
12:30 – Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or have a picnic depending on your preference.
13:30 – Lake Andraikiba: Continue to Lake Andraikiba, another scenic lake close to Antsirabe, for a short walk and photography stop. It can be conveniently combined with Tritriva on a full-day excursion.
15:00 – Return to Antsirabe: Drive back to Antsirabe through the highland countryside.
15:30 – Free time in Antsirabe: Enjoy some free time in town for shopping, a final pousse-pousse ride, or a coffee before returning to your hotel.
