ITINERARY
07:00 – Departure from Morondava: Meet your guide and driver at your hotel and travel towards Kirindy Forest through the dry landscapes and traditional villages of western Madagascar.
09:30 – Arrival at Kirindy Forest: Begin a guided walk through the Kirindy Forest, one of Madagascar’s remarkable dry forests. Explore the trails while discovering the local flora and looking for wildlife such as lemurs, birds, reptiles and other endemic species.
12:00 – Lunch Break: Enjoy lunch at or near the forest before continuing the day’s adventure.
13:00 – Wildlife Exploration & Forest Walk: Continue exploring the forest with your local guide. Learn more about the ecosystem and, with some luck, observe the famous fossa, Madagascar’s largest carnivorous mammal, as well as other wildlife.
14:30 – Drive Back Towards Morondava: Leave Kirindy and travel back towards Morondava, with stops along the way to enjoy the changing scenery of the western landscape.
16:30 – Arrival at the Avenue of the Baobabs: Explore the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs, surrounded by towering ancient baobab trees. Take time to walk around, admire the landscape and photograph these impressive trees.
17:00 – Sunset at the Avenue of the Baobabs: Enjoy the spectacular sunset as the warm evening light illuminates the baobabs. This is an ideal moment for photography and to experience one of Madagascar’s most famous landscapes.
18:00 – Return to Morondava: Depart the Avenue of the Baobabs and drive back to Morondava.
